4-Day Prep Schedule
Monday (Holiday):
Prepare pulled pork (if not done). Divide into Friday/Saturday portions.
Peel/cube sweet potatoes and par-boil for 5 minutes. Drain and dry completely.
Tuesday (Evening):
Mix ground beef with taco seasoning.
Assemble "Hobo" packets: Beef, par-boiled sweet potatoes, and a spoonful of salsa. Wrap in
parchment paper
then
heavy-duty foil
.
Note: Mark the 5-year-old’s packet (meat/potato only) with a Sharpie.
Wednesday (Evening):
Scramble eggs and sausage.
Crucial:
Cool mixture completely before rolling into burritos.
Wrap individually in foil and store in a sealed bag.
Thursday (Evening):
Wash and portion fruit (grapes, berries).
Slice apples (toss with lemon juice) and green onions.
Pack the "Kitchen Bin" (Mountain House, spices, oil, foil, trash bags).
Assemble the "Friday-First" cooler layout.
